What is provided at Western Container Services
A Double Access for more efficient cost management.
Powered storage (reefer plug-in): Your reefer is connected to power to maintain set temperature during storage.
Monitoring and exception control: Reefers in storage are monitored twice daily to confirm they are operating correctly and maintaining pre-set temperatures.
Photo evidence and traceabilit: We capture digital photos during key touchpoints to support accountability and reduce disputes, including:
seal condition and seal number (where visible)
temperature display confirmation
Efficient receipt and collection: A practical depot layout and process designed to reduce truck time and help you meet bookings and delivery windows.
Support if a fault occurs: If a fault is identified, we can coordinate engagement of a reefer technician and obtain supporting documentation (including a breakdown report where required), with coordination involving the relevant party.
How reefer storage works at Western Container Services
Pre-advice submitted (booking and verification).
Container receival & check-in (seal/condition recorded, temperature display confirmed).
Plug-in to powered point and container logged into depot system.
Twice-daily monitoring while in storage (operational status and temperature maintained).
Dispatch confirmation prior to load-out (final checks and photos completed before collection).

IMPORTANT: Pre-advice requirement
A pre-advice email is required for all refrigerated containers transported into Western Container Services Depot.
Send pre-advice at least 24 hours prior to collection.
Your email must include:
Container number
Copy of the Quarantine Released Direction (where applicable)
This prevents delays and ensures your container is handled within the correct booking window.
